Since the DEA is produced,it has been widely used in the efficeency evaluation of allwalks of life. It attracks more and more scholars to study because of the advantage ofobjectivity, no dimendional, and suitable for multiple inputs-outputs. So, combined DEAand Olympics, on the one hand, this paper will explore the new DEA model, on the otherhand, this paper also study the Olympics based on the new model.It has been began to study the Olympic in the fifties and sixties of the last century.The method of DEA was also used into the efficiency and sort of the Olympic. But thestudy is not very comprehensive. There are many other questions need to be soluted. Asthe competitive of the world in various aspects is more and more fierce, it is important tostudy the Olympics comprehensive and scientific. Base on the new DEA model, this paperdoes research to the Olympic mainly included three parts:Firstly, to evaluate the effectiveness of the output. Unlike previous model, this paperestablished a new model which could evaluate the effectiveness of the output to calculatethe variable’s value of the output. It is necessary to evaluate the effectiveness of the output,especially to the multiple input-outputs. The new DEA model can not only evaluate theeffectiveness of DMU, but also analysis each output, and calculate that how many wouldbe increased in output can make the non-efficiency DMU to be efficiency DMU. Buttroductional DEA model can’t do this. It will provide important data information todecision makers if the new model is used into the Olympic to analysis the medals.Secondly, the established of the efficiency evaluation model. This paper established anew efficiency evaluation model based on the model of the evaluation effective of theoutput which can evaluate the efficiency of DMUs. Compared with other model, thismodel is more simple and easy to understand. The efficiency value calculated from thismodel can also sort all the countries. It can be proved to be reasonable compared withother models. At the same time, this model is also applicable to other input and output.Finally, this paper did a further study to the problem of sort of the effective DMUs.Because of the limitation of traditional CCR model, effictively sort for the effective DMUs cannot be implementation. A new method that compared with the projectiondistance from the first effective DMUs to the second effective DMUs, and then sort thefirst effective DMUs is put forward. The results proved to be reasonable.
