Research On Choice Of New Leading Industry For Henan Based On AHP

Leading industry changes constantly with the development of economic. The economic growth has been plagued by a series of contradictions for Henan which is the most populated province of China. At the same time, most of Henan’s competitive industries are the mineral resource-based, and the development of high-tech industries are slow, innovation is weak. Upgrading of the industry, Henan Province has difficult in resources for extensive economic growth. Therefore, the original leading industry in Henan Province is not adapted to the development in new times. So, it needs new leading industries to resolve problem in order to drive sustained, rapid and stable growth. How to select the new leading industries objectively and correctly are the contents of this paper, the paper’s main functions is:1. Describe the definition and the characteristics of new leading industry based on the existing literature and the theory. Establish new leading industry index combining with the specific industrial situation in Henan Province, and calculate the corresponding values of each index.2. This paper uses ANP model to calculate the weight innovatively. With the high-tech development and the impact of information technology, evaluation in index system and the internal feedback are impossible to ignore. ANP can solve these problems well.3. Selecte the final ten new leading industries in Henan Province according to the quantitative and qualitative analysis. Put forward relevant policy recommendations for the new leading industries in the next development.
