Study On The Comprehensive Evaluation Of Financial Sustainable Development

Development is the eternal theme of human society. As a new development concept that furtherconforms to the laws of social development, sustainable development has penetrated every field of humanlife. Financial sustainable development is the fusion of sustainable development concept and the financialdevelopment. Financial sustainable development, we can say, is the natural extension and development offinancial development. In the light of its status, financial sustainable development is an organic part of thesustainable development of our human society. We generally divide the human sustainable developmentsystem into several subsystems such as economic, social and environmental subsystems. We also considerthe financial sustainable development as a development system, which is a subsystem of the economicsustainable development system.If we want to study the financial sustainable development, we must make clear its state, whichrequires a scientific evaluation. The evaluation index system should include two parts: internal indexsystem and external index system. The internal index system includes: basic condition indexes, basicbusiness indexes, financial market indexes, external contact indexes and financial risk indexes. Externalindex system includes economic system and social system.Using the aforementioned index system, SPSS software and the method of factor analysis, this paperconducts an evaluation of the financial sustainable development state of our country from 1993 to 2003 andan analysis of the results, and puts forward some suggestions on this basis. The major viewpoints of thispaper are as follows: 1. Financial sustainable development is the natural extension and development offinancial development. It is the ideal model of the financial development. 2. Financial sustainabledevelopment is the essential part of the sustainable development of our human society. 3. Evaluating thefinancial sustainable development, we must establish the evaluation index system according to its meaning.4. For the purpose of the evaluation of financial sustainable development we should use the method ofmulti-index evaluation. 5. In order that the financial sustainable development can be achieved, we shouldtake into consideration the financial system itself and the external environment as well.
