Study On The Selection Of The VLE Partners

One of the crucial steps in the founding process of a virtual logistics enterprise is to select proper partners. A virtual logistics enterprise's responsing speed to the market and its performance are directly related to its partners and the establishment of good fellowship between them. On the base of the former studies on the Partner Selection Problem (PSP) in the field of virtual enterprises, this paper develops a study on the selection of the VLE partners, applying the latest theory and practice in the fields of logistics management, virtual enterprises and strategic management.It is first introduced in the paper the actualities of the studies on the selection of the VLE partners in home and abroad, then the shortages of the former studies and how this paper is organised. A four-staged selection process model, which threads the whole paper, is developed on the base of existing studies.This paper presents a theoretical model and the systematic developing method of entrepreneurial opportunity, and a more effective formula for opportunity evaluation, based on the analysis of the definition, nature, and classification of entrepreneurial opportunity. This paper also reviews several methods of identifying the core competence of logistics enterprises and puts forward a systematic model for core competence identification. A new method for identifying the core competences of logistics enterprises is constructed by combining an induction method and the two-level fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.The index system for the evaluation of the VLE partners on the base of literature review and positive investigation composes the kernel of this paper. The index system not only has the feature of the logistics trade, but also makes a difference between different logistics tasks. The index system is bettered by correlation analysis, factor analysis and some other statistic analysis means. The paper also establishes an evaluating method for the partner slection of virtual logistics enterprises based on the SyntheticWeighted Mark Method and gives a brief introduction to the optimization of partner combinations and the flexible management of the partner fellowship.In the end, a simulative calculation example is given to practice the methods and theoretical models established in the paper.
