It has been imperative already for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs)of our country to carry on the transnational operations in the face of the trend ofeconomic globalization and of the demands of their own development. Globaljumpstart is the best way for SME to expand their business as some economistspointed out. So, for SMEs, which way to follow can reach the goal of transnationaloperation is a great task to discuss.In this paper, a short cut to realize internationalized operation for SMEs issuggested, that is constructing transnational strategic alliance. Here in this paper thisshort cut is discussed in detail. First, the advantages and disadvantages about SMEs intransnational operation are discussed based on the analyst of the necessity oftransnational operation for SMEs. Then the short cut that constructing transnationalstrategic alliance is suggested, followed with discussing the great significance for theSMEs, at the same time suggesting several styles to constructing transnationalstrategic alliance. At last, there may be some negative problems for the SMEs toconstruct transnational strategic alliance in order to realize internationalized operation,these problems are analyzed in detail and some suggestions are brought forward.
