| The castings industry usually is reputed as "mother of the industry", and its status is quite important. The castings industry is the foundation of pillar industries, such as automobile, petrifaction, steel, electric power, shipbuilding, spinning and weaving, and equipment manufacture. The conveyance, machine, spaceflight and national defense industries are indispensable to the related spare parts that castings industry provides. Chinese castings industry is centuries-old, and makes the great contribution for the development of world castings industry and the enhancement of world casting technology. According to the related data, China has become the greatest country that produces the castings. From the output, Chinese surpasses 10 million tons every year from the 1990s, and is the first for 5 years on end. However, our country has not become the powerful castings country. Compared with other developed countries, we have the great disparity in the product quality, product structure, produce facility, enterprise scale, production efficiency, environmental protection and so on.Facing the international competition and the new situation of promoting Chinese castings industry, it is urgent to find the way that castings industry develops. From the angle of strategy of industry development, this article took the economic and managing elementary theory, investigated abundantly, utilized systemic, comparative, and decision-making approach synthetically, integrate actual situation, and study strategic localization of casting enterprises. It will be used for reference to reduce the disparity between our country and developed countries, strengthen the competitive ability in the international market, change intensified management to extension management, and realize sustainable development.The whole thesis is divided into four parts. The first chapter introduced the research background, purpose and meaning, and summarized the correlative academic achievements. The second one made the PEST analysis about developmental environment of Chinese castings industry. Citing automobile industry as an example, it analyzed the historical opportunities that were taken by correlative industries. On the basis of expounding actuality of market and technology of developed countries and China, the third one analyzed the main questions and developmental tendency of Chinese casting industry. The fourth one is the keystone of this article, dissertated the strategic plan and strategic selection of Chinese castings industry. |
