Institutional Research Of The Regional Cooperation At The Junction Of Fujian, Zhejiang And Jiangxi Province

In order to face the challenge of the globalization of economy and the integration of regional economy, countries all over the world attach more and more importance to promoting and participating in the regional cooperation. A succession of regional cooperation have emerged, such as the European Union enlargement, the establishment of South American Community of Nations, the development of Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation and the Association of South-east Asian Nations. In China, the trend of regional cooperation has also been formed. The integration of Yangtze Delta Region, Pearl River Delta Region, Bohai-sea's Coastal Region and the development of Pan Pearl River Delta Cooperation have enhanced the vigor of Chinese economy. The junction of Fujian, Zhejiang and Jiangxi Province is composed of the northern part of Fujian, the south-western part of Zhejiang and the eastern part of Jiangxi. This paper takes as the example of Nanping, Lishui and Shangrao which border each other and have the same economic development level and culture. Lying in the inner mountainous areas, these three areas develop slowly and fall behind the coastal areas. The significance and breakthrough of this thesis is about how to change the current cooperation model which promote the economic development of the developing areas by making full play of the radiant effect of the developed regions, and about the building of a new regional cooperative institution between the developing regions, in which these areas can solve the problems in development through its regional advantages. Through the integration of the strength of Nanping, Lishui and Shangrao, making full use of the advantages of each region, eliminating the obstacles in the economic development and changing the old model between the developed areas and developing areas, the economic disparity between the costal areas and mountainous areas can be reduced gradually and the whole society can reach a harmonious development. Our Party and government of all levels place great emphasis on the balanced development of the region. The fifth plenary session of the 16th CPC Central Committee emphasizes on the balanced development of regions and the establishment of regional balancing institution. The development of economy not only ask for the harmonious development of the national economy but also the balanced development of regional economy. It is proved that regional cooperation is the demand of socialist market economy as well as the demand of socialized production. The foundation of regional cooperation institution could break down the regional blockades and trade monopolies, pave the way for the development of socialist market economy and enhance the economic reform and socialist modernization.
