The Design Of The CAONW Co.'s Knowledge Management System

In 21th centry, man makes the entry to the times of knowledge economy. In this century, knowledge is one of the key elements in production, and the most important resource as well. With the arrival of knowledge economy times, enterprises are facing unprecedented opportunities and challenges, the traditional management model in enterprises can not meet the requirement of themselves. It is the knowledge innovation, transmission, and employment that are the key to the survival and development of the enterprises, so it is urgent for them to carry out the policy of knowledge management.The research approaches adopted in this paper are: the combination of theory research and practical applying; the combination of fixed quantity and fixed quality; the combination of referencing documents and investigation. On the base of researching the theory of the knowledge management, this paper investigates the present situation of the Co., employs the approach of problem-drive, facing the fact of the Co., it brings up a solution for such kinds of enterprises, and carries out it in the practice.The paper combines of four parts. The first part introduces the relative models of knowledge management. Basing on the present model of KMS (knowledge management system), it brings up owner model. The second part introduces the present position of the Co.. it analyzes the problems and reasons of the Co. in knowledge management, performance management, organization structure, enterprise culture, and IT means. The third part provides the solution of building up the KMS which starts from the design of KMS, studies the organization structure designing, culture reforming and incentive mechanism needed by the KM; and afterwards presents the index system for evaluating. The fourth part follows the route of employing IT measures, analyzes the necessity and feasibility of the KM, offers the design to the carrier of the structure of the knowledge management, namely the designing for the KMS,In the course of the development of CAONW Co.. There lies a lot of problems in the management, esp., in the knowledge management. The company is eager to employ some management theories in this field, so as to improve the flexibility andinnovation ability, to introduce fresh elements, to regain its advantage in market competition.
