The paper researches employee motivation based on the situation of human resource management operation in a typical private enterprise.In the first part, first author analyzes that motivating employee is the core of human resource management by use of contract theory and defines what is private enterprise and what is the vital employee that should be motivated in private enterprises ,and then by the numbers sums up the point of view and contents of three the academic foundation that employee motivation ,that are stakeholder theory, principal and agent theory and motivation theory (including Hierarchy of needs theory, ERG theory ,Two factor theory ,Expectancy theory ,Reinforcement and Equity theory)in the same time points up the function of each theory for manager in private enterprise.In the second part, firstly the performance evaluation and payment are defined. Payment includes intrinsic payment and extrinsic payment. The paper mainly researches training and employee career management in intrinsic payment. Then the paper discusses the relation between performance evaluation and payment, and payment and employee motivation.In the third part, the paper analyzes the actuality and the problem of motivation in T Co., Ltd, which includes performance evaluation-. extrinsic payment and intrinsic payment (training and career management).In the fourth part, in allusion to the problem above, from the angle of furthest motivating employee the paper puts forward some countermeasures.In the fifth part, after the observation and the analysis toward T Co., Ltd and other private enterprises, author puts forward some institutional measures, which may be used by other private enterprises for reference, and some experiences in T Co., Ltd. Organization function frame, performance management, and merging and unifying between human resource management and corporate culture are included in the content of institutional environment construction.
