Currently, the competitive structure of China telecommunication industry has formed. China mobile market will be more open to the outside world with China entering the WTO. The domestic mobile communication industry will get the golden opportunities for development, as well as the rigorous challenges. Therefore the competition will become more severe. It is essential to research the competitive strategy of domestic mobile communication industry in such a specific historical background.Based on the investigation and analysis, taking Sichuan Mobile Communication Co., LTD. for example, the writer tries using the relative theory on strategetic management and puts forward the competitive strategy for the mobile industry to accept the challenge, hoping these will be helpful for the continuous development of the domestic mobile communication industry.The dissertation is composed of five parts. The first part summarizes the development of China mobile communication industry form the aspects of the introduction of telecommunication business (products), the course of opening to the world and the competitive structure of China telecommunication market and the current situation of China mobile communication industry, etc. The second part analyzes the present situation of competitive strategy of China mobile communications industry and introduces briefly about the development course of thecompetitive strategy theory, Porter's theory of competitive strategy, the concept of the value chain and core competence and the industrial structure analysis. The third part analyzes the external environment of China mobile communication industry from the following aspects: the national economy and the development of the society, industrial environment and technological environment. The fourth part using Porter's Five Forces Model theory analyzes the competitive structure of China mobile communication industry. The last part, quoting the case of Sichuan Mobile Communication Co., LTD., introduces it's internal situation and external environment, sets it's competitive strategy based on SWOT analysis and also points out that in order to spur the competitive strategy put in practice successfully, the problem of integrating and optimizing the internal resource of the corporation must be solved.The dissertation stands on combining the theory with practice, considering the current situation of domestic mobile communication industry deeply, and the competitive strategy putting forwards in this dissertation has great maneuverability.
