With the development of mine multimed ia communication technology and urgentdema nds on advanced functions such as quality of monitoring, video data transmissionwirelessly, etc; it makes more and higher requirements toward the multimed ia communicationtermina l. In order to solve the disad vantages of the poor quality of ima ge compression(mostof the resolution is 352×288 ) , low range of illumina te adaptation and unable to adaptholomela nocratic(0Lux) work environment of underground on the internal current multimed iacommunication termina l. Designed a kind of multimed ia data processing termina l used inunderground based on ARM11, which is in conformity with the intrinsica lly safe dema nds,adapt to holomela nocratic(0Lux) work environment of underground and have ability of highdefinitionima ge compression(D1 level, VGA 640×480) and video/a udio data transmissionwirelessly. Hence, it will pla y an important role on the monitoring security and emergencyrescue of mine.The processor of the multimed ia data processing termina l used in underground isSamsung S3C6410 micro-controller which is based on ARM11 architectures. Meanwhile, takeMobile DDR SRADM and NAND Flash with 128MB memory capacity as external memorywhich is used to save the data of startup code and system information and so on. Take a TFcard with 4G store capacity, as an additiona l storage, it save s large amount of video/a udio data.The front of video capture is a low-light level night vision device which helps white-lightillumina tion. The 18mmⅡplus generation micro ima ge intensifier through optic tapercoupled with CMOS camera and realize the ima ge capture in holomela nocratic workenvironment, and after ima ge processing through the H.264 codes of processor will displa ythe high-definition ima ge in TFT-LCD screen which resolution is 640×480. The voice datahave completed the process of audio data by a audio codec chip. Follow ing the WiFi and Mini USB protocol. This design realize d wireless and wired transmission of the video/a udio data.The low-voltage(≤3.3V) design system power not only conforms the intrinsica lly safedema nds, mea nwhile, but also realize d the low power consumption(3.5W) of the device. Itincreases the reliability of termina l profoundly through the design of the six la yer PCB board,EMC and realization of the ESD protection by specia l device.In the test of design, the system can finish not only the ima ge acquisition of the commonenvironment and simulated holomela nocratic environment, but also can meet the electricalperforma nce requirements, realized the high definition displa y and the processing of audiodata. The experiments shows that the multimed ia data processing termina l used inunderground based on ARM11 can realize the high definition display, the collection,processing, displa ying, storing and transmitting of the audio data, which have the higherapplica tion value and research significa nce.
