Pulitzer, is the 19th century "90 watershed" second to none in the figure on the American press. is the founder of American modern press. as one of explorers, he has innovotive concepts concerning running newspapers, which exerts long-lasting influence over the journalistic world. Also, In the present dissertation, the present author gives a brief account of Pulitzer's legendary life and abundant-experiences, recalling Pulitzer, initially a nameless federal soldier, grows up into a member of the U.S. Congress and eventually thrives to be the proprietor of two most influential newspapers St. Louis Post-Dispatch and New York World, which marks the summit of his journalistic career.As far as Pulitzer's contributions to the world, there are too many to enumerate. Here just name a few. Pulitzer makes New York World the most influential and prestigious newspaper in the U.S. He supported the oppressed, the courage to expose social ills, adhere to speak for the poor people. Through a number of social activities planned, greatly increased the newspaper's social influence. He also donated founder of Columbia School of Journalism, journalism training for the reserve team, and the establishment of the Pulitzer Prize reward outstanding works of journalism.Pulitzer In the present dissertation, the present author chooses Pulitzer's newspaper management and administration concepts as the very researching subject and tentatively explores the enlightenment and revelation Pulitzer brings about towards Chinese press development by employing the very methods of macroscopic and microcosmic analyses.
