Research Of Application On Wireless Sensor Networks In Environment Monitoring System

Currently with the rapid development of communication technology, people need higher requirements in its applications, not only focus on remote communication and large area construction of base station, but also give more emphasis to short distance communication and communication net work in special use.ZigBee as one of these technologies has increased wireless sensor network application, which has been widely used in home security, remote meter reading field, forest fire alert system, hydrological monitoring, and other special communication systems.In this paper, we mainly describe the whole process of developing an environment monitoring in detials, which is based on ZigBee technology and together with embedded ARM9 technology. At the same time we managed to design core modules in this system both in schematic and PCB about monitoring node, and introduce the contracture of intelligent device, named Sink node. In terms of software development, we successfully completed data collection from monitoring areas, by means of Sink node which runs Window CE 5.0 embedded system. GPRS DTU devices are applied in this systems which enable monitoring data remotely uploaded to the server through public networks. To some extend, this design enlarged the region of the availability in wireless sensor net works.With on-site testing, the monitoring system runs stablely in all functions, monitoring data we collected matches to the actual state with higher accuracy. The solution and its realization we proposed in this paper is valuable to some similar solutions and application models.
