The automatic batching system is a kind of industrial process control system with dynamic online dosing and real-time monitoring. It's widely applied in metallurgical industry, mixing building material, chemical engineering, mining, food, feedstuff processing and other industries. It is of great significance to design the advanced automatic batching system to improving product quality and enhancing enterprise competitiveness.In this thesis, a summary for the application of automatic batching system is made at first. Then on the basis of the detailed analysis of batching process, an automatic control system is designed. On the design of hardware, the whole control structure is composed of industrial control computer and PLC. Industrial computer is used for monitoring and supervision, and PLC is used to control devices and deal with process signals. The whole system is connected by RS-485 bus and Ethernet for communication. The location system of the batching vehicle is improved by rotary encoder and proximity switch, so the batching vehicle can be located precisely. On the design of software, system is configured by software WinCC6.0 in industrial control computer, and database management software and pictures of real-time monitoring are designed.A section-controlled algorithm based on Iterative Learning Control (ILC) is proposed to control the speed and precision of feeding in the process of automatic proportioning. A mathematic model is founded after analysis on the dynamic feeding process. The algorithm can improve the precision of feeding in condition of high speed. There are three sections in the control process. In the beginning, when the error between set value and output is very large, the maximum control value is setted to ensure high-speed feeding; in the second section, an Iterative Learning Controller is designed to control output; in the end, the weight of material falling in the air is estimated with ILC, so a precise result is gotten. The algorithm is proved to be viable and effectual through the simulation testing. For the work efficiency problem occuring when it's necessary to produce large quantities, a solution is setting one car's route, then another's route optimization is regarded as a modified traveling salesman problem (MTSP). MTSP can be resolved by ant colony algorithm whose transition probability is modified according to specific requirement. So the optimal route for another car is found with this method, and the efficiency of the whole batching system is increased.The control system in this thesis has been used successfully in a factory and the results show that it is stable and reliable. It has high control accuracy and production efficiency.
