With the rapid development of computer technology and mobile Monternet doubling the volume of business, the demand of the service quality increasingly higher and higher, the performance of the server and the stability determines the Monternet business service quality, so that the Monternet original business services provided by a single server model can no longer meet the requirement, cluster mode starting up rapidly.In this paper, combining the current system's structures and SMS (Short Messaging Service) process, the author introduces a cluster-based system to solve the problems in the original Monternet Gateway system, such as single point of bottleneck, single point of failure and horizontal Scalability. And the author discusses how to implement the cluster-based Monternet Gateway system with no evidently influence on the network and SMS process.In this paper, clusters are discussed in detail the main concepts and features, and analysis of the current technology used for cluster. Focused on the principle and features of load-balancing cluster, and research the main load-balancing technology, and through a large number of pre-research, from the performance, reliability, network security, etc., we have chosen the F5 (BIGIP) which leading the market technology in Monternet as load balancing equipment, and then we optimize the use of the F5's and network devices' configuration with iRules programming interfaces, and script programming. In the end, the author shows the test results and typical case to prove that the cluser-based load-balancing Monternet Gateway system solves the above problems.Currently, the cluster-based load-balancing Monternet Gateway system introduced in this paper has passed lab test, and is running in Jilin, Liaoning, Zhejiang, etc. It has been an important equipment in Mobile operators' network to support industries'value-added service development.
