High-availability Server Aggregation System Analysis And Design Method

The advantage of cluster system is scalability. But with the number of cluster increasing, the whole dependability of cluster will decrease. So, the high availability software will be an inevitable part of cluster operating system. The recovery method is especially important to the application which is large scale and will run long time. On the other hand, the number of users in the Server Consolidation system, that support management of different application, is rather great. Therefore, high availability also has important evaluation to the Server Consolidation system. In other words, the architecture of cluster offers the possibility of the research of high availability system, and the Server Consolidation system asks the requirement of research of high availability system. The combination of cluster and high availability system is an important research field of computer recently.The purpose of this paper is to research of cluster high availability system. We analysis the characteristic of cluster system and the ability that Server Consolidation system must have. Then, on the basis of giving theory and key technology of high availability, we make the high availability system of two node more perfectly and design a practical cluster high availability system on Dawning 3000 super-server. We evaluate the system availability at last.Firstly, using the skill of Server Consolidation, we can consolidate the functions of Web server,Mail server,BBS,NEWS server,FTP server,database server,file server and so on. The most suitable architecture of Server Consolidation is cluster. To get high availability, adopting redundancy components,system backup,detection and recovery method, is cluster operating system's necessary function. We give the definition and the art of state of research of high availability, then propose the availability analysis method and calculate formula, at last analysis the two ways to increase system's availability and five key problems of realizing high availability.Further, We analysis the availability of two node system and research on reality of it, then we describe two nodes'Dawning high availability system software...
