Along with the development of science and technology, production means now has increasingly become one of the determinants of economic efficiency. The proportion that device accounted for in fixed assets, gradually increases and has become an important materials technology foundation of corporate existence and development. Improve device management has important significance to guarantee the normal enterprises production, promote technological progress, promote the product development, improve product quality and enterprise economic benefits. So, device management plays an important role in the entire management of all enterprise.Based on a large-scale seals company's management status, combined with the concept of MIS (management information system) development, and for the purpose of improving device efficiency, reducing device life cycle cost, increasing corporate profits, we developed a WEB-based device management system. This system turns device control into active administrative system completely from passive administration.The use of this system will greatly improve work efficiency, reduce workload, guarantee the accuracy of the data, realize the information resources sharing, and realize the information management at the entire life cycle of device. At the mean time, it is an important step toward the paperless office.This system based on Browser/Server structure, builds system design models and solutions by using SSH (Struts, Spring, hibernate) framework on the JAVAEE platform. and it mainly uses the object-oriented thinking, framework theory, MVC(Model- View- Controller) design pattern, Java enterprise-class development platform (JAVAEE) technologies, etc. The thesis firstly chooses and state appropriate techniques for the system, and then analysis the requirements of the system, including design goal, unitary function. Finally finish the system. The system is composed of some modules such as system function menu management,user management, device lending and return management, device maintenance management, device depreciation management, device document management, and device report print management, etc. This system is characterized of clear framework levels, rich functions, and good scalability and has good scalability.In the maintenance of the system, since the B/S structure of the unique hierarchical characteristics, greatly reducing the workload of maintenance personnel.
