With the continuous development of China's railways, the number of electric locomotives is increasing, the electric energy consumption is also increasing, a higher and higher accuracy to the electricity meter is demanded, and meantime it is more and more important to measure the electric energy consumption accurately, count the electric energy scientifically, manage and guide drivers'energy-saving operations scientifically. Therefore, developing the devices metering the locomotive energy consumption, which can reflect the relations between the dynamic energy consumptions and the operations, the qualities, the failures and the traction power supply states for the locomotives, has a great demand and development space."Electric locomotive energy consumption monitoring terminal", designed on the basis of combining the needs of the power supply section and the locomotive depot of the railway, which is a subsystem (monitoring system) to "the locomotive state testing and statistical analysis system", can carry out an automatic, real-time and accurate measurement to the electric locomotive energy consumption, and provide data guarantee to realize the statistical analysis of the energy consumption according to drivers, time slices, locomotives and sections.MCU AT89S52 and MCU AT8515 are used to complete data collection, data statistics and data storage in this electric locomotive energy consumption monitoring terminal. First, MCU collects the electric quantity data of ADE7753, receives the operation data of X2 socket from TAX2 box through the RS485 interface, and forms a record combining with the electric quantity; Then, the tidied-up data are transmitted to the data processing storage module; A real-time display is taken to these data through the nixie tube for the on-site inspection and control, and meanwhile, these data are sent to the ground system through the wireless transmission. Designs of this system's hardware and software take full account of the anti-jamming technology of the energy consumption monitoring system and the reliability of the data protection, and the system reliability is analyzed and designed.The overall design of the electric locomotive energy consumption monitoring terminal system is described in this paper, introducing the system's functions and network composition around the control mode and the hardware framework. For the hardware, a specific treatment is made to EMC, which can effectively reduce the static electricity, surge and other adverse electromagnetic effects. For the software, the idea of "information circulates, event drives" is used, and the programming realizes a full modularity, with a strong transferability.
