Currently, cancer is the first killer to people's health. Radiotherapy is the most effective method in cancer treatment. Three-dimensional conformable radiotherapy treatment planning system based on medical image processing is ligament of radiotherapy hardware device and clinic treatment, is a necessary computer aid software system of setting down reasonable treatment solution for radiotherapy experts.Three-dimensional conformable treatment planning system and its key techniques are researched in this paper. The works and innovations of the paper are as following:Since the system module need to process image files of different formats and reuse the other good codes when the system requirements are changed, Adapter pattern is adopted in image process module of radiation therapy plan software system to reuse the good design solution. After using Adapter pattern, the results indicate that the module can process image files of different formats by the same interface and reuse the good codes effectively.Medical image segmentation technique is mostly discussed and Live-Wire algorithm is improved on the performance. Firstly, manual and auto segmentation methods are presented; because the performance of Live-Wire algorithm in searching the shortest path dynamically is not good, an improved Live-Wire algorithm based on pairing heap is provided by used data structure-paring heap in the procedure of dynamically searching the shortest path, and the performance of Live-Wire algorithm in searching the shortest path is improved.The current popular three dimensional reconstruction algorithms are implemented by VTK. At first, the processing procedure of medical image 3D reconstruction is analyzed, and the classification of 3D reconstruction algorithms is presented. Mobile cube algorithm and ray casting algorithm are implemented.Three dimensional conformal heavy ion dose calculation methods is implemented based on the characters of heavy ion and the requirement of radiotherapy treatment. The method ensures that the target is killed with high dose and weakens radiation for the important organs back of the target, and fulfilled the requirement of heavy ion dose distribution in treatment planning system, and represents the more advantages than traditional radiotherapy method in the field of radiotherapy treatment.Three-Dimensional conformable radiotherapy treatment planning software system is designed and implemented based on the research of the key techniques. The system can input and process image data, confirm the geometry description of the target and other volumes of interest, provided a tool of medical images 3D reconstruction and data visualization for doctors, design the treatment plan by calculating the radiotherapy parameters,dose distributions and skin conformal parameters, evaluate the plan by the DVH and output the best treatment plan to conduct radiotherapy clinical trial actually.
