The Design And Realization Of FC Static Routing Management And FCPING Between Switches

With the fast developing of Intranet, the data become highly huge than before, people put forward the concept of SAN (Storage Area Network). The SAN make the storage system outside the hosts, so they can be used by different hosts. The FC (Fibre Channel) Protocol is a very popular in the SAN. With the fast developing of Ethernet, people start studying to converge around Ethernet and SAN, then the FCoE (Fibre Channel over Ethernet) Protocol is call up. FCoE allows a business enterprise to reserve their FC Infrastructure, continue to use the existing FC management tool, and provide same function by much lower price.No matter in the SAN or on the Ethernet, the routing protocol is very important. With the routing protocol, the information can be transferred on the internet. The routers provide the service of datagram forwarding through a collection of the roads information on the internet. If there is no the best routing information, the transfer of data can't be High Efficient, even cause failure.A static route is a route that is created manually by a network administrator, unless the administrator interferes, the static route won't be changed. The static route is the most basal kind of routing protocol, it is simple, efficiently, and credibility.In the FC network, the customer can use FC PING, the order checks whether destination can be reached. FC PING is a network tool of network fault diagnosis, it is a simple network management service in the FC protocol.This thesis analyzed the static route model and FC PING model of the FCoE switch, including FC and FCoE protocol, routing protocol and the static route, etc. Then the thesis analyzes the requirement analysis, systems design, coding, implementation, and test, this part is the point of this thesis. At the end of this thesis, there is a concise summary. The last part introduces several common failures in the project, also gives some author's option and prospect in the future.
