Design And Implementation Of Interface Management And Configuration Management Modules In FCoE Project

With the increasing needs of the enterprise of the store information and the developing of the Network Storage Technology,the Network Storage play the more and more important role in the massive information storage and retrieval of the enterprise.Though the FC (Fibre Channel) storage networking has the feature of fast and large memory capacity, the question before us is:The FC storage networking is independent closed network, they could not exchange message each other.For the large investment of the FC storage networking from the enterprise, people are thinking if it could realize the communication between the remote storage networking based on the original. Accompany with the increase of the bandwidth of the Ethernet. They want to sole the question by FCOE switch. FCoE switch can turn FC message to the IP message, so the FC message can transmit in the IP network, at the same time the IP message could be changed to the FC message in the FC storage networking inside. So the communication between the two independent FC Networking could be achieved.The FCoE switch could realize the exchange among the many SAN network across the internet at first. The routing management module is the core is the FCoE switch, it is used to produce forwarding, packet forwarding guide. It resoled the received packet, it can be judged if it should be passed to the switch or to be forwarded out by checking the packet. Routing management is the soul of the entire switch.Routing management module needs to interact with other switch modules. When the external environment of the switch changes, such as subjoin the next interface in a VSAN, or delete a case in a VSAN interface out. Management needs to make the corresponding routing phase response to the information in a timely manner to reflect external changes to the forwarding, thereby forwarding the correct guidance. The interface management module is set to better facilitate the isolation of the external and routing module. Because the switches need to configure static route to administrators, check the current configuration of routing and to facilitate the debugging from the developers during the test phase. So routing module configuration management is an integral part of the switch.The thesis first introduces the research background of this topic, significance and the main content, summarize the technical background related to the system, including the FC protocol description, FCoE protocol description, routing management related description, and introduce the overall description of the FCoE projects the main work of the routing management module, present the design and implement of the routing management module and the configuration management module, and something about the testing of the two modules work. Finally, the thesis proposed the next progress about the Interface management module under Routing Management Module and the Configuration Management Module.
