With the development of data service, network service is transforming from traditional voice service to data service based on IP in transport network.Characteristics as burst and uncertain direction of Data traffic which are different from voice traffic require that connection in transport network established,maintained and torn down dynamically. In order to meet this demand,control plane is separated from management plane in ASON network architecture, where connection in each node can be controlled and complexity of network management gets decreased as well.What's more granularity of switch increases gradually due to burst of data traffic. Concerning both ASON architecture and wavelength switch, WSON standard architecture is imported by IETF. In WSON, physical blocking probability in all optical network could be reduced by the appropriate impairment-aware routing and wavelength assignment algorithm with awareness of physical impairment in transport plane.On the basis of WSON, this paper will focus on realizing a new test bed named as Adaptive Multi-Service Optical Network by further research and extension on routing protocol,which manages to estimate the quality of lightpath with physical impairment information mentioned above and achieves adaptability while establishing connection by adjusting physical impairment compensation equipments to reduce physical blocking probability in transport plane.In this paper, some research has been made on extensions of routing module.It will be introduced to support self-adaptive transmission, which could be introduced by the following parts: 1.According to the packet of OSPF protocol,introduce a extension method of the packet structure to carry physical impairment information and value of adjustable optical device2. On the basic of the adaptive transport function, extend routing module to estimate the quality of lightpath and calculate the value of physical impairment compensation3.With the architecture of adaptive network, implement routing module,and establish AMSON test bed to test the function of routing module...
