The appearance of high-capacity softswitch device accelerates the popularization of high-capacity device node in GSM core network. To avoid the networking risk with it, the implement of high-capacity core network device redundancy is very necessary.After upgraded to softswitch core network, the telecommunication operators have a large number of withdrawal TDM network equipment, that's valuable.In this paper, we will reserch the implement of the Local Network MSC N+1 Redundancy System, making use of the withdrawal TDM network equipment, and analysis it's practical effect and application.The Local Network MSC N+1 Redundancy System mainly depends on two steps, laying circuit between BSCs and the redundant MSC in advance, for the purpose of connectting BSCs to two MSC; and defining the A Interface redundant data. When the MSC is out of service, we can recover the network service by BSC cutover to the the redundant MSC. The cutover opertation can be finished in one minute, by just changing the BSC's default MSC.Compared with other core network redundancy technologies, the Local Network MSC N+1 Redundancy System has the advantages of low cost, fast recovery and simple implement. The network operators can deploy this system quickly only with the withdrawal TDM network equipment. |
