In the modern local war, along with a large number of advanced electronic equipment being plunged into the battle field, the features of the war show the trends of strength integration, battlefield digitalization, command network, strike precision and support integrated. Since the sharper the electronic jamming and the electronic countermeasures appear in the war, the higher reliable the data transmission in the complex environment is required. In modern weapon systems, for solving the problem, appearing in the modern military and industrial field, of distributing and managing the power data in the extremely complex and bad environment, the technology named multiplex data bus has been adopted, which means a lot to the research of the field-bus technology.MIC bus technology is one of the field-bus technologies, whose rationale and application are researched in this paper. The hardware of MIC bus controller is designed, and the MIC bus protocol is the heart of this task, then the PXI bus architecture and the high-performance Field-Programmable Gate Array(FPGA) are used to achieve the requirement. The System On Programmable Chip(SOPC) technique is used to realizes low level driver design, which realize the data communication in real time and the reliability requirement.The controller model has many advantages, such as simple structure, plug and play, smaller, easier integration, etc. This paper is composed of several parts:First of all, by studying on the MIC chip, MIC bus working principle, working modes, communication protocol and application modes have been analyzed. Based on this work, through comparing the performance among MIC bus,1553B bus and CAN bus, the advantages of MIC bus in application and performance are apparent, thus it is necessary to do further research on this subject.After that, according to the development trends of the bus and the research on the MIC bus, the hardware module scheme is put forward. On the basis of the scheme, the circuit principles are designed, and electronic components are choiced, then PCB is drawn. This paper has realized the low level driver and control logic design.Finally, through testing the logical function and the performance of this module, this MIC bus controller module is not only able to accomplish the task of sending and receiving data by using MIC bus protocol, but also able to accomplish the task of the communication and control between local and remote module. Moreover, the data transmission is reliable and stable. Over all, this work definitely has certain significance on the generalization and application of the MIC bus.
