Video surveillance system with its intuitive, convenient, content-rich information to be widely used in security, transportation and other fields.Digital Network Video Surveillance System is a collection of a variety of advantages, and it has gradually become an important part of a security system.In large-scale digital network video surveillance, is composed of many different modules, the information exchange between each other through TCP/IP protocol to achieve. As the system increases, the use of communication layer SOCKET-based interface independently developed, the requirements of developers are high and development cycle is long, at the same time, system stability, scalability, maintainability and so on will not necessarily guarantee. We need middleware approach to shield the characteristics of network layer, as the Ice middleware speed, cross-platform, cross-language features, in the actual project, we will use Ice middleware to communicate between modules of the video surveillance system.This paper describes the development history of video surveillance system, components and key technologies, based on the current market for video surveillance system needs to re-design the Software architecture of client system. In the new software architecture, the increase of business logic, the proposition of layered architecture model. The article designs to achieve ATL/COM communications components based on Ice middleware technology, we can use it to complete communication between the terminal and the client application server. For interconnection in large-scale video surveillance system, Client application server of the synchronization mode can not meet the performance needs of large-scale monitoring terminal, processing the program of Client application server of the asynchronous mode.Author gives a comprehensive test in the actual video surveillance system, the article includes detailed records, analyzes and summarizes test data about communications components, practice has proved that the design with the feasibility and practical value. At the end of the article, summed up the work in the thesis writing process and the inadequacy of the research results and future direction of development are proposed.
