Because of fierce competition between manufacturers, NC and CNC machining technology came into being. They are widely used in machinery manufacturing, electrical transmission, computer, automatic control, sensor detection, and other fields. Traditional CNC system has a closed structure and is specialized used, in which the software and hardware modules interact in different ways. They can not meet the manufacturing market. Open CNC system overcome this shortcoming. Open CNC system has software and hardware system which is modular, reconfigurable and scalable. They can fully meet the development needs of market globalization.With the development of computer, communications and network technology, manufacturing system is developed towards flexible, intelligent and network-based. CNC machine tool is core equipment of manufacturing system. To achieve its network-based remote monitoring and operation is a major trend of the future development of the manufacturing sector. In the machining process of CNC equipment to achieve high-speed, high precision and efficient automation, real-time control is highly required, so researching related technology of network-based open CNC system is an important direction.View of the above, network remote monitor technology of open CNC system was first explored in this paper. Ethernet technology was applied in network remote monitoring system of open NC system. The overall structural design of network monitoring platform was completed based on client / server, and a star topology network connectivity graph was build, using TCP / IP protocol as a communications protocol. The system adopted Windows Socket programming technology based on MFC and used VC++6.0 as the programming environment,to design server and client application programs for the network remote monitor system based on Open- NC system.The hardware of motion controller in open CNC system was designed in this paper. First the design of hardware circuit was completed. Then the paper introduced circuit design of each module, which included communication circuit between DSP and host computer, power circuit, JTAG interface circuit and the power driving module circuit. Finally, electromagnetic interference problem was introduced in the hardware design and solutions were proposed.Secondly, the software of motion controller was designed in the paper. This paper introduced control method and principle of the AC servo motor and established a mathematical model of permanent magnet synchronous motor. The servo motor was controlled with space vector pulse width modulation technique to control, and speed control was completed. This paper introduced the software modular design and software process design of the system. The modular design mainly included communication module, servo control module and motor control module. DSP programming design was completed, which included the initial program design and interrupt programming. The initial program design was to initialize the module. The interrupt programming was to introduce a timer underflow interrupt programming.Finally, based on the hardware test work in the CCS2.0 system environment and debugging experiments, we can accurately control the speed and position of motor if DSP-based servo control system is used in drive of permanent magnet AC servo motor. The system has high reliability, short development cycle and high control precision. The whole control system has higher efficiency and higher security by using a high speed of operation of the DSP chip, which is fully able to meet the real-time requirements of CNC machining.
