With the development of computer technology, CAE technology applies in the course of development of the new products extensively, can shorten the design time effectively, reduce the development cost, improve the quality and reliability of the products. It has played an important role in the analysis of static and dynamic of new product. This thesis studied the display screen outer cover of Notebook computer, used the 3D engineering design software PRO/ENGINEER to set up the structural design and geometric model of display screen, then enter Pro/Mechanica mode, set up finite element model. Carry on static analyze of the display screen cover, judge whether there are enough intensity and rigidity in the structure, and improve the module on this basis, meet the design requirement; Then carry on the mode analysis to the cover, obtain the first four steps of nature frequencies and natural mode shapes of the cover model, find out the key point of cover design. In addition, make sensitivity analysis on the button holes location of the display screen frame, simulate button critical condition that touch off by customer mistake of expectation in realistic using, choose the appropriate dimensions, improve the structure, make the frame model possessed certain rigidity, meet the need of design test.
