With the development of science and technology, six-axis accelerometers are receiving more and more attention. But its research hasn't been mature yet, and being in the initial stage both at home and abroad, there are still many problems to be solved. In this paper the dynamic characteristics of a 6-SSR six-axis accelerometer are studied, static and dynamic analysis are two mainly contents as good dynamic characteristics is based on good static characteristics. Static mathematic model of the 6-SSR six-axis accelerometer is established,new evaluation index system is defined on the basis of predecessors' achievements,, including line/angle acceleration sensitivity index,line/angle acceleration isotropic index,and analytical expressions of each index are obtained. Through drawing the atlas of each index, the relationship between each evaluation index and structural parameters is obtained. And the relationship between coordinate shift and each evaluation index are also discussed, and the numeric area which the coordinate shift is good for the evaluation index is given at the meantime. Comprehensively considering all of the indexes, the numeric area of structural parameters is obtained on the condition that all the indexes are relatively optimal, providing the reference for the optimization design of this kind of accelerometer.In the numeric area where all the index achieving relatively optimal, and considering the manufacturability of the accelerometer and so on, a special case is selected for the modal analysis by adopting the structural dynamic FEA method. Natural frequency and vibration mode of the selected model are obtained. The relationship between the change of the structural parameters and the mode are discussed, and the rules between them are find out. Harmonic response analysis is also studied, amplitude(phase)-frequency Curve is obtained, the continuous dynamic characteristics are calculated. The transient analysis is also discussed. Unit step signal is bring to bear on the 6-SSR six-axis accelerometer, dynamic response is obtained, the character of dimension coupling is observed, the relationship between the change of the structural parameters and the dynamic index are also discussed.The theories and results obtained in this thesis are very useful both in the theory and the application for the deep research of this kind of 6-SSR six-axis accelerometer,the method and content will be of great value to other kinds of multi-dimension accelerometers.
