Develop Literature Management Software Based On PDF

Literature management has always been an important part of academic research, from searching literature, saving, collecting, quoting to writing. The initial literature searching and management used in a purely manual way, not only tedious, boring and inefficient. This way spended a lot of time and effort frequently. Subsequently, there have been many non-specialized tools to manage and read electronic documents, such as the resource manager or Excel table management. This way was more efficient. The popularity of computer makes document management more informational and automatic gradually. Therefore, various types of specialized tools have emerged to improve the user's work efficiency.In today's digital era, along with the rapid development of computer network technology and the extensive use of internet, the number of academic papers and journal articles based on PDF format increase rapidly. PDF electronic documents increasingly rich make reading work bigger and bigger for researchers. But there are not literature management software based on PDF format at home and abroad. This situation does not meet the actual needs of customers. Many researchers how to efficiently collect, scientific management, and convenient application of a number of electronic documents based on PDF file formats has become a serious problem which was urgent to be solved.This paper established the literature management software based on PDF. It could help researchers use information resources effectively and retrieval and management personal documents, thus it constituted the full personalize knowledge environment. First, under the PDF specification, through setting the reference format standard and information extraction for literature reference, it could establish and manage and save and output individual user's literature reference, in order to realize management of different categories from collected literature and materials according to different literature database. It could provide tremendous convenience for many users to retrieve and manage documents, make monotonous and time-consuming literature management become more easy and convenient. This has important practical significance. Moreover, this software development for the further realization on PDF related products development and improvement has important significance and research value, and has broad application prospects.First, this paper gived a brief introduction about basic theory and related technologies of software development, and explained basic ideas and architecture of information extraction for PDF literature reference, thus proposed a method of information extraction for PDF literature reference.
