Coal industry in the national economy has occupied a very important position in China; according to the specific situation of the coal resources and the outdated security-automation management. There are still many coal mine-disasters happened in our life. The safe production and the scientific management have become the huge limits on the development of coal industry. Therefore, the design of automation management system which is suitable for China's coal mine is necessary. The system for underground personal orientation and attendance has gradually become the focus of concern coal industry.The system which consists of underground personal orientation and attendance is based on the RFID technology in this paper. Combined with design requirements of XinYu coal mine in Shanxi, we designed a set of suitable safe production management of the miners and attendance system for medium and small coal mine in our China.PC's RS232 interface which is converted to the CAN bus interface by converting Bridges and connected with various stations underground, then structure the system architecture. The systems complete the communications between the PC and various stations underground through the backstage backend data communication module. Through the RFID technology personnel's serial number message will be transformed and saved in the receiving station, which will transform the personnel's orientation to the PC through data communications link. After analysis, data processing, displaying and pairing, the PC program will deposit the data in a database for the personal orientation module and the attendance module to use.This system is developed in the.NET programming environment by the C# language on the MapX control of the second time based on the SQL Server 2000 database. System is divided into three main function modules:the backstage data communication module, the personal orientation module and the personal attendance module. After a mass of debugs and optimization, the functional modules, stable running, has reached the target of design and also got a good practical value and practical significance.Completing the design of this whole system, the paper puts forward something need to improved as well.
