In recent years, some of the public news events reflect the lack of media literacy of traditional media workers, especially the paper-based newspapers workers. The change of media capabilities, communication tools and media patterns, which brought about by the media convergence, affect all aspects of the society, especially the living environment of traditional media. Television is facing the difficulty of the increasing loss of young audiences. The news in paper newspaper accidentally becomes "old news". Some workers of paper-based media are gradually becoming "One Dimensional Man", and are losing a reasonable ability to identify, critical awareness and basic literacy in the information collection process. Media convergence brings a kind of media form that everyone becomes a reporter, everyone is the media. It changes the identity of the media worker a nature of the "community", who is the communicator as well as the audience. Who wants to be an eligible media worker should be an excellent audience first.In the background of media convergence, the primal problem of the media worker's literacy is the relax information collection. The vast information in the internet becomes the main source of the news in paper-based newspaper. If the newspaper workers use the true and false co-existing information without strict examine, it would be likely to result in inaccuracy report. This paper focuses on the paper-based newspaper, and discusses the lack of the media literacy in the background of new media forms. In the keyboard times, diverse and complex sources of information demand the media workersinexorably to improve their media literacy. Media worker's literacy will ultimately affect the value orientation of the audience. Therefore, strengthening the media's media literacy education is urgent. This paper follows the basic logic of "phenomenon-the question-strategy" to do this study and to explore the relationship between these two issues. What new challenges does the new media environment bring to the media literacy education of traditional paper-based media? On this basis, it is particularly important to enhance the media literacy of the workers of traditional paper-based media, and this paper tries to explore a specific path.
