Right now, optical network is changing from transport network to service network, and multi-service-oriented network becomes the trend of optical networks. Data has been the dominating traffic in optical network. Burst, diversity and unpredictability of data challenge the way of carrying service in optical network. As a result, bandwidth on demand service is emerged. Adaptive Multi-Service Optical Network (AMSON for short), which introduces a creative Service Plane, has greatly enriched content of traditional ASON. Service Plane brings up a fresh way of service parsing and implementation, making the scheme of BoD implementation flexible and creative.On the basis of Service Plane theory, this paper research implementation scheme of BoD service in Service Plane. Combined with the function model of Service Plane, this paper introduces key technologies of BoD service in detail, such as design of service function modules, implementation algorithm, service process, reuse of service logic modules and so on. BoD service is implemented in AMSON test bed, and result of the service is studied in this paper. The implementation result of BoD service in AMSON makes it clear that BoD service in Service Plane, compared with traditional way of BoD realization, improves the performance of optical network apparently.Several achievements of this paper are as follows:Service Plane theory has been modified and improved, which makes Service Plane more flexible to be expanded and implemented in a distributed way; Interaction flow among different modules has been studied, and cooperation mode of Service Control Element (SCE) has been brought up and realized in BoD service; Implementation scheme of BoD service has been designed, and several service logic modules that can be reused in other services has been implemented; Test bed of AMSON has been built, and this test bed will be a good basis for further research of multi-service optical networks.
