At the end of 2004,3GPP proposed a new Plan (long term evolution, short for LTE). Up to now, LTE standardization has been basically completed. In order that LTE can be used in large-scale, more and more equipment manufacturers participated in the development of LTE system. This thesis selected a unique multi-core DSP chips for LTE system development. This thesis studied the downlink service mapping in LTE protocol. On this basis, considering the characteristics of the hardware resources and the requirements of realization, this thesis gave a practical simplification, including the method of CRC calculation through looking-up table, the method of QPP interleaving through iteration and the simplification of rate matching. These simplifications can ensure the proper function, save storage space and reduce data processing time.In addition, based on these simplifications, this paper designed and implemented the service mapping module using the picoChip multicore DSP. For the five modules of service mapping, the design was given in detail, including structures and processes. In the design and implementation process, in order to achieve the downlink peak rate of 100Mbps, this thesis not only made full use of a variety of simplifications, but also used parallel processing mechanism to reduce processing time. Finally, through function and throughput tests, the implementation was proved to be feasible. The ability of data processing of the service mapping module was proved that it can meet the requirements of the peak rate in LTE system.
