HSUPA technology is put forward in the version of WCDMA R6, and its purpose is to optimize grouping service and development for uplink. HSUPA,following up with HSDPA,is an important WCDMA standard evolution. HSUPA technology.Using the technology, uplink users can reach peak transmission rate up to 5.76 Mb/s in theory. In HSUPA technology,HARQ (mixed automatic retransmission request), schedule based on Node B, shorter transmission interval (2ms TTI) are used, which effectively improve the backward link data rate. And the compatibility can achieve the network smooth evolution more effectively.HSUPA can improve uplink network performance. For transmission error,HSUPA can be retransmission quickly in order to reduce transmission delay and adjust the rate of data transmission according to channel conditions. From the perspective of a single user, the peak rate can be up to uplink 5.76 Mb/s and delay reduce 40%. Further more, HSUPA also improve the transmission rate of HSDPA. With HSUPA bearing ACK/NACK data, it will greatly reduce uplink data transmission delay, thereby improving the downlink data transmission delay, which can increase the downlink HSDPA IP packets transmission rate. This paper simulates HSUPA technology of WCDMA on system level.First the main physical channels are introduced, and then we summarize the key technology of HSUPA. After that, we give the system simulation framework, and simulate.Through the analysis of the result of simulation,we can explain how the new technology improve the performance of system. We build the platform with.net, and get the statistics of system throughput. Simulation results can be served as reference to similar simulation for some companies.
