With the increasing development of wireless communication technology, transmission bandwidth is continuous improved, the rapid real-time information processing capability of communication terminals have been enhanced, wireless technology has become the new direction in the field of video acquisition. With the large-scale commercial application of 3G, wireless video capture applications have emerged like waves. In this paper, the video acquisition system targeted at the the combination of WLAN which is current hot wireless applications technology and OFDM which is the core technology 4G in future, for the purpose of promoting understanding through this platform for the future development of wireless communications, and lay a solid theoretical and empirical basis of research and development for the future.This paper implement a wireless video acquisition system for the fixed-point multi-point local video capture system, mainly used in local open space, high-speed real-time video capture for the applications such as security or images acquisition and so on.Video acquisition and transmission system mainly consists of front-end video capture and central servers, this system main research wireless video capture front-end design and implementation. The system we implement contains three modules-front-end wireless video capture video capture and compression, A/D conversion and OFDM wireless transmission. Through the use of the French company SPiDCOM's SPC200-c chips as the main chip, external expansion storage system, the Ethernet interfaceUSB2.0 for video capture and transmitter module for wireless communication. Of the system are described in detail about the composition, structure and function, each module of the system were analyzed, this paper also described in detail the hardware design and software design of the underlying detailed and noted that the direction of application software development in future and main task.This paper implements the underlying platform of this system, including hardware circuits, low-level software, environment of development and debugging, platforms. The platform works stability, which lays a solid foundation for the software development and system upgrades.
