With the rapid development of the society, The video monitor system is become to the important constitute of the defence system in all the various trades and occupations, it is one kind of guard ability system. Along with the rapid development of computer, network, imagery processing, and the technology of transmission, The video monitoring technology also has the considerable development. Today based on inserting network video monitor system become the hot topic which the recent years studied.This article has implemented the embedded operaying video capture system take TI Corporation high performance 32 fixed-point DSP TMS320DM642 as the central processor, Mainly divides hardware plantform into six parts, video capture, the data storage, video processing, video demonstration,the network and the prower source management respectively.The video signal which inputs from the pickup camera and the tonic signal which inputs from the microphone become to the digital signal which pass to the capture, A/D transforms,and last transmitted into DSP. DSP to carry on the compression code and the confluence of the video signal and tonic signal in the singnal source place, then the data transmitteded to the video monitoring center passed to the local network and Internet. At the same time the monitoring center was monitors many scenes, to receive or transmitted the signal of alarm, and according to needs control, adjusts vidicon the direction and the position pass to the RS-485 of asynchronous serial main line. TMS320DM642's internal integrated the video and the network which supposes the connection, completely system's software processing works completes by DM642, thus reduced the cost and the difficulty which empolder the embedded operating video system.Make use of the newest MPEG-4 compression algorithm of video code standard in the system, Take the MPEG-4 standard as the foundation, uses the C language to realized image coding under a Windows platform. The MPE-4 code uses the xvid edition, amended the code after the code transplant, made the code conformed to the DSP programming needs, transplants the code to the DSP , enables it to realization in the hardware platform. Carries on the optimization of the code which according to the DSP's characteristic, finally enhanced the code capability.Video capture system based on the DSP, as a result of imagery processing algorithm can be amended swift, its application mainly face to the user of specific demand and the situation of the high request to timeliness.With the technological development and the growth of social demand day by day, the image real-time transmission and the network service will be inevitable, At the same time embedded operating system is the application simplifies the computer system based on computer technology of even more emphasizes the volume, the power loss, the cost, then takes along synthesis factor and so on, The two unifies constitutes together the integrity transmission system will have the incomparable superiority. Therefore, there are somereasons we can believed that constructed the system of video capture, processing and the transmission based on the embedede operating system which have the widest prospect.
