Along with the development of the modern communication technology whip and spur, people use mobile telephone more and more, and surfing the Internet is being one of the most important service of China Mobile.The mobile telephone user will connect with the CMWAP or CMNET, and with the latter user will directly accessing the Internet, but with the former the link need re-orient by the WAP gateway. Therefore, WAP gateway is an important centrum during the interview process.In the current network, some error happened during the network action in part.For example, some user couldn't visit web site, as the terminal couldn't support the format; some user could receipt the short message but couldn't the multimedia message.These problems cut down the call completing rate of the network of the China Mobile greatly, and affected the quality of service badly, and break down the image of the company.The goal of this topic is surveying, concluding and analysis and solving the problem. There are some typical problems such as:when the user surfs the Internet by CMWAP, the terminal will pass the information like IP, phone number to the WAP gateway. The gateway transfers these parameters all or part, and the rule is given by the China Mobile. For the inner web sites, the gateway will transfer all of them, while for the third party part.In the current network of China Mobile, some WAP gateway transferred overabundant parameters, which give the privacy away; some WAP gateway deleted or modified the parameter by error. These problems can be solved by the function of access control.In addition, some terminal lost packet when they browse or receive the multimedia message, for there are many large packets in the process, if the terminal can't support the function of subcontracting, the service would fail. In addition, the terminal must be adapted with the SP in the format and character set, so the WAP gateway must have the capability of transforming.For example, when the terminal can't analysis the format of the page sent by the SP, WAP gateway need transform the format into the one that the terminal can support. Therefore, correct communication is necessary, which ensure the dependability. This thesis discusses these problems. The background analysis, survey the cases in depth and find the reason. In the end, we solve the problems.By means of surveying the problem in depth, this project improved the capability of the WAP gateway, raising work efficiency and high rate of call complete. The service was improved clearly by the following survey. This work is a successful practice of finding and solving problem, the groundwork for the WAP service, make an actively explore for the further works.
