A Network Planning For Inner Mongolia Unicom

On May 24,2008 the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the National Development and Reform Commission, and the Ministry of Finance of China jointly issued the Notice on Deepening Telecommunications Reform. The Notice reduces the number of telecommunications carriers from six to three. In the afternoon on January 7,2009, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China sent out three China's third generation mobile communication (3G) license to China Mobile, China Telecom, China Unicom, China Mobile gained TD-SCDMA, China Telecom gained CDMA2000, China Unicom gained WCDMA, signed of China's telecommunications industry entering 3G era formally. As one of technical systems, WCDMA network is constructed on a large scale in China.Therefore, China Unicom intensified the construction of WCDMA network, and started to relative preparations at the end of 2008. Network program decides the the construction quality and influnces the later network level. As a result, this paper draws up a set of operational network program and construction guidelines through theoretical analysis and actual argument.In the construction of WCDMA network, it is a important step in the whole construction to do the program work of network designwell. This paper analyzes market demands and prospects of WCDMA network through introducing mobile network thechnology; it sets up pre-program of Inner Mongolia Unicom WCDMA network through studying strategies of the construction of WCDMA network. The pre-program includes various types of network construction: central network, outdoor base station, indoor distribution, High_speed railway coverageand and FEMTO. To network program of Inner Mongolia Unicom WCDMA, it makes demands arrangement, collects all kins of data of present stations of GSM network, concludes program requirement of survey and design according to the guiding principles and, at last, draws up Inner Mongolia Unicom network program. It involves the thoughts of network construction and program principles that are universal and suitable for network construction guidance of Inner Mongolia Unicom WCDMA. This paper has instruction to perpetators of engineering of network construction, and in the maintime, it also has the fuction of work guiding and code to network consruction in Inner Mongolia Unicom.
