Road traffic accident is a serious worldwide problem, more prominent in our country. With the quantity of vehicle keeping increasing, the road traffic accidents increased severely, the handling of road traffic accidents facing new challenges. Face the multiple road traffic congestion and traffic accidents, the manual measurement current used should not meet modern requirements for the traffic accidents scene measurement. Therefore, the study of photogrammetry technology to rapid traffic accident scene measurement has important significance.The paper introduced the basic theory of photogrammetry and established linear model and nonlinear model of the camera imaging. It main analyzed the key reason about the nonlinear distortion of camera imaging. Then the experimental method was adopted for solving nonlinear distortion coefficient. By the image processing technology needed in photogrammetry, the image quality could be improved and feature points required for photogrammetry could be extracted.The paper studied the accident scene quickly photogrammetry based on image preprocessing techniques and photogrammetry technology. The paper main studied the three-dimensional visual model of the space and three-dimensional reconstruction method, given the method of calibrate the inside and external parameters of camera.The paper used the rectangular three-point calibration method to calibrate the camera external parameters based on the correction of the image point coordination that used nonlinear distortion coefficient, and studied the three-dimensional reconstruction of space points by the camera linear imaging model. The accuracy of three-dimensional reconstruction was verified by experiment. By the analysis, the photogrammetry applied to the rapid traffic has practical significance.The paper proved that the camera calibration method is simple, and the accuracy of three-dimensional reconstruction can meet precision of the traffic accident scene measurement by experiment.
