With the development of computer technology and integrated circuit technology, advanced mechatronic control systems is more and more complex and showing many features, such as high levels of system integration and handling large amounts of data etc. Face the rapid development of mechatronic control systems, traditional programmable logic controller(PLC) has not been meet its demands, embeded mechatronic control systems which has micro-kernel,concise system, high performance of real time and specificity characteristics has apparent advantages in mechatronic control field. In some fields, traditional PLC has been replaced completely by embeded mechatronic control systems.Embedded mechatronic control systems is a dedicated computer system, it must have the characteristics of fast startup after system power on due to its application environment. In this article, startup procedure of embedded mechatronic control systems base on RTLinux is analyzed, and an optimized schemes about fast startup is put and implemented.Firstly, the development of mechatronic control systems and embedded systems is introduced in article, direction in mechatronic control systems development is analyzed, and some mistakes which arise from the application of mechatronic control systems in industrial Automation is researched.Secondly, software architecture of embeded mechatronic control systems is analyzed, and startup procedure of systems can be divided three phases, which include bootloader, loading kernel, mounting the root file system. Two types of embeded systems schemes about boot procedure is analyzed in the bootloader phases. embeded RTLinux kernel architecture, major subsystems and procedure of loading kernel is researched in the loading kernel phases. Filesystem architecture of embeded Linux based on flash memory, mounting procedure and basic principle is researched including CRAMFS, YAFFS2, JFFS2.Thirdly, combined with the application environment of embeded mechatronic control systems, depended on analysing and optimizing about embeded mechatronic control systems startup procedure, more time-consuming part of embeded mechatronic control systems can be improved by optimization of startup schemes, configuration of kernel, implementation of hybrid file system.Finally, The application of embedded mechatronic control systems is described, the results of the optimization is validate. The results show that optimized embedded mechatronic control systems shorten the system's startup time based on reliability and stability.
