With the continuous development of RFID technology in logistics field, the scenarios concerning RFID are becoming more and more complex and changing the traditional business process. On one hand, the traditional mode of application development starts to hinder the utilization of RFID in logistics enterprises. On the other hand, the current RFID middleware integrated with business process pays more attention to the monolithic business process modeling and the integration of external business process of enterprise, instead of the reuse of internal business logics and management of business change. To solve these problems, this thesis concretes to the research and development of RFID business components engine for logistics field to satisfy the requirements from creating and changing business by analyzing and decomposing business process into components.Considering the actual development and application of RFID technology in logistics field, this thesis proposes a language to describe business rules, which can make the business analyzers customize business components in a simple way. In this thesis, we encapsulate the business components rules for persistence storage and management, and process the business components in two steps, which are event pattern detecting and rule condition executing. Considering the characteristics of logistics field, we propose the time-based events selection algorithm to make the execution more effectively. Moreover, we also design the components library for logistics field and the interfaces linking the business component engine with the business process server in RFID middleware. Meanwhile, a software tool for adding, modifying and deleting the business component model in a graphical way are provided through our work.This thesis firstly presents the related technologies of RFID business component engine, analyzes and compares the capability of supporting and composing business component from the RFID middleware solutions published by the industrial companies; then we analyze and summarize the requirements to the RFID business component engine and the facing challenges, conclude the academic methodology and related theories, and propose the methods of establishing, detecting and executing business components; finally, we present the architecture of RFID business component engine and introduce the completed implementation.
