The Research And Development Of Database In Casting Process

Because the CAD of casting technology is an interactive design process, the establishment of that needs various process parameters and database system of standard structural parameters. The database of casting technology contains a wide range of data, which has complex structure. In the development process, we must make full use of computer databases and computer graphics technology to promote the integration of CAD/CAE/CAM in casting process. Therefore, the research and development of casting technology database system has a certain practical significance.In this paper,the status and trends of domestic and foreign casting technology CAD and database technology were analyzed,and the development and implementation of casting technology database were elaborated in detail.The parameters needed in casting process as basic data,the casting technology database was established through the analysis and calculations of the data.The casting technology database as background database,the management system was developed with Delphi 7.0 and Microsoft SQL Server 2005.The use of the database was realized through the language provided by database management system.System uses the C/S architecture,which provides the information about user interface and the server accessing to the database. The design and creation in this paper mainly includes registry,the application form, pouring management system,riser feeding management systems and so on.Based on the design of the form,the detailed analysis and presentation of the form modules were carried out,and ultimately combined with the database table to complete the program development of database system of the casting technology.The system can achieve the searching function for a variety of casting process data,which also has the function of storage and maintenance for the database.The database not only has a large number of standard data and empirical data to support technology design,but also the data dynamically generated in casting process can be stored and modified, which solves the problem of storage and rational use of the data generated in the CAD of casting technology.Finally, the casting technology database was verified by the casting technology design of instantial casting.
