The Study Of The Readers' Service For International Students By University Libraries

This paper studies the readers'services provided by Chinese university libraries for international students. Their composition, their information needs, and the difficulties they face in library are analyzed. And specific methods are proposed based on these analyses. This research is hoped to provide some valuable suggestions to university library information services.This paper has five parts:Part1:Introduce the background and signification of this research.Part2:Literature reviews of the researches on library services to international students. The study presented in this part provides basis for this research.Part3:Investigate on the needs of information and information services and existing problems of international students in China. These Problems include literature collection, librarian qualifications, and the service quality.Part4:Methods to improve library services for international students.Part5:Conclusions and suggestions for future work in this area.
