The Construction Of Public Sphere In Micro-Blog

In July 2006 the first Micro-Blog Twitter was created, we began to move in a new era of Micro-Blog. With the following of SMS, BBS, IM software, Blog and SNS, Micro-Blog is changing our lives, our means of communication, and even the scope of our companion. It makes people to communicate more freely and to exchange message more quickly. Is the communication model of Micro-Blog applicable to the public sphere which is proposed by Habermas? And can the communication media for the Micro-Blog be regarded as a truly effective "public domain"? As the Micro-Blog is an ongoing new thing and it opened a new era, so far it is not access to be a stable state.This paper discusses the construction of public sphere in Micro-Blog from the four aspects. The first chapter is about the definition of Micro-Blog and the concept of public sphere which is used in this paper and the applicability between Micro-Blog and public sphere. To analyze the characteristics of Micro-Blog and the status of the public sphere in China , the Micro-Blog created a new platform in the public sphere theory . The second chapter describes the specific reconstruction of the traditional public-private boundary. Such as: technology clears up the authoritative discourse; personal expression and public expression discuss on Micro-Blog platform; everyone is more fully displayed before the eyes of the world. Chapter III will tell us how to construct the public sphere in Micro-blog. In the development process, Micro-Blog unconsciously achieved the following facts: establish a good public space; promote the "public opinion" towards rationally; realize the potential of democracy.
