Research On Application Of Semantic Web Technology In Information Retrieval System

With the rapid development of information society, the Information Resources on theInternet is in the number of a geometric growth and in the form of performance for a morediverse and complex. Traditional information retrieval techniques based on the search engineor retrieval system in the users'satisfaction with the services already deteriorating. This ismainly because the traditional information retrieval technology is based on a literal searchterm to match the deal with queries and ignores the inherent meaning of search terms andlinkages between, it can not be complete, accurate and efficient extraction of informationembedded in resource semantics, I often resulted in retrieval of search results and userintentions far from the case. To solve these problems, this paper presents a semantic-basedWeb technology, the idea of information retrieval systems.Semantic Web is not a new thing, but in the current Web developed on the basis of a newgeneration of Web technologies. It is ability to articulate and describe the semantics of Webinformation resources and to information resources is defined as the relationship between aspecific meaning, such as to describe the semantic Web, and expression of informationtechnology resources and their relationships, will largely improve the information resourcessharing and capacity utilization. This article describes the Semantic Web-seven-tierarchitecture, and in-depth study of the three key Semantic Web technologies: XML, RDF,Ontology. Then introduced the principle of Ontology Construction, building methods andOntology annotations of the content, analysis of Ontology Language OWL descriptionlanguage level, explained its Semantic Web's role. On this basis, the proposed SemanticWeb-based information retrieval system to fine the functional requirements analysis anduse-case analysis, in-depth systematic framework to explore the structure and function ofprocesses, completed the system design. Then, using a variety of tools for software toeducational technology as an example the field of Semantic Web technology is developedbased on the information retrieval system. And to analyze the system building process inseveral key modules, which are: the module of crawl resources or download the module ofparsing resources and analysis to determine, the index creation module and the field ofeducational technology Ontology module. Finally, to achieve and demonstrate based onsemantic Web technology the domain of educational technology information retrieval system.This system has the three kinds of search methods: Literature (Consolidation) search, networksearch and navigation categories to achieve the semantic extensions and semantic reasoningcapabilities.
