In this paper, we make a research about P2P (Peer-to-Peer) network which is better to meet the requirement of VoD (Video-on-Command) application. We design three optimization strategies for the client in cache, piece selection and peer selection, which include the double predictive cache strategy, piece selection strategy based on cold-prediction algorithm and peer selection strategy based on file segment available. A VoD in P2SP network using the three strategies described above is designed and implemented to examine the improvement. We compare these three strategies with the traditional method, and the experimental data proves that they can speed client download and improve the users'experiences, the client displayer can response immediately to VCR operations. |
