Modern software enterprises attach great importance to the standardization of production process. Software organizations assess and improve their software process through the application of process quality models and standards. However, for most software organizations, the application of these models is very difficult. Because the characteristics, purpose, location and structure of these software organizations in the international or regional are different. There are too many ambiguities, instabilities, subjectivities and errors in the process of applying of the existing software process model. The existing process models in the software process modeling have different orientations, the difference between model results in comparative analysis and modeling of a large number of problems. Through the establishment of software process ontology, we can offer the formal description of software process quality models and standards, and reasoning capabilities can be used to assist analysing models to solve these problems.Chapter one summarized the ontology related areas at home and abroad as well as the application and research status in the field of software process proposes the content, the purpose and the significance of this thesis, described the main research result and innovations in the whole article, and analyzed the remaining problem and research works in future.Chapter two described the research background, concept, characteristics, classification and description language of the ontology, ontology modeling methods, ontology modeling tools as well as the advantages and the role of ontology modeling and built theoretical basis to achieve the visualization software process ontology.Chapter three studied the relevant theories of software process, the definition of software process and the properties compared with traditional industrial products. The popular current software process models and the difficulties when software organizations using these models are described in detail.The third chapter concluded that the establishment of software process ontology can resolve these difficulties.Chapter four described the basic problem of building software process domain ontology- the definition of domain ontology and building norms and built software process ontology model.Chapter V achieved the knowledge search system based on the software process ontology,studied modeling primitives of ontologies,ontology representation and storage,the concept of the domain ontology,also we discussed the definition of software process classes,the definition of attributes,semantic constraints.
