CIMS technology plays an important role in industry informationization. Therefore, as one of the core technologies of CIMS, the study on CAD/CAPP/CAM integrated technology research has very important significance. The ultimate goal of CAD/CAPP/CAM integration is to extraction, sharing, exchange and processing information inside and between the modules of CAD, CAPP and CAM with efficiency, simplicity and order.In order to achieve the effective integration of CAD/CAPP/CAM system, an application system based on UDMF is developed under VC++. Net language program in this thesis using Pro/E as the system software, SQL server as support software. The system interface style is fully consistent with Pro/E, the CAD/CAPP/CAM integrated system example of a typical sleeve parts is developed based on the data managed by SQL server database using object-oriented approach.The main aspects of the thesis are as follows:(1) A highly integrated UDMF modular modeling approach in geometrical and techniques, materials and other information is developed. A UDMF model component design patterns is accomplished by classification coding, common UDMF model collecting and quickly UDMF splicing generation.(2)The blank selection principle is summarized. The information databases including processing method, processing rule and process decision-making etc. is established. A highly modular process generation mode based on UDMF model is proposed by the author.(3)The tool parameters database including manufacturing resource such as cutting tools, machine tools, setup tools are established. A modular, parameterized NC program generation pattern using layers of nested subroutine calls is proposed by the author.(4) The overall structure of the application system is described; the familiar menu interface design function is introduced.(5)The feasibility of the system is verified using the Running instance of sleeve-type parts sub-system.The system developed in this thesis, which achieved a better CAD/CAPP/CAM integration of each module, created a kind of consistent, reliable messaging and data-sharing mode, provides a new platform for the integration of CIMS.
