Infrared Focal Plane Array (IRFPA) device, which has been widely used in the military field currently, is a key component of infrared thermal imaging system, and it also has a huge market potential and application prospects in the civilian area in the future. In recent years, great development of infrared focal plane array technology has been made in China, and the gap with the advanced level has also gradually been narrowed. With the development of infrared focal plane array technology, there are higher requirements in the field of parameters testing and performance evaluation of infrared focal plane array detector. This paper focuses on the test methods of infrared focal plane array detector's performance parameters.The main work of this paper is provided as follows:1. On the basis of reading a lot of references, the principle and development status of infrared thermal imaging system and infrared focal plane array is analyzed and researched in detail. At the same time, the ability of testing the infrared focal plane array at home and abroad is compared.2. Have a detailed analysis of the infrared focal plane array detector's working conditions and performance parameters, and the various performance parameters of the test methods are described.3. Combined with the above analysis of the infrared focal plane array test methods, a LabVIEW-based system which can test the performance parameters of infrared focal plane arrays device is proposed and implemented. Some problems encountered in the process of designing the test system are analyzed and the solutions in the Lab VIEW environment are presented. A new method for blind pixel detection of infrared focal plane array is proposed, too.4. The effect of the test system, including the system's overall noise and the test results for the actual device, has been verified.At last, some of the problems encountered in the process of testing are summarized, and a feasible direction is provided to improve the testing system for the infrared focal plane array detectors.
