According to Guangdong Province Science and Technology Projects-"Research on Key Technology of Distributed Video Surveillance System Based on Embedded Linux", the key technologies of mobile streaming media embedded database server and message transmission optimization had been researched and analyzed, mainly on design of software and hardware platforms and database.Then,proposed an optimized error control algorithm of Mobile Streaming Media QoS (Quality of Service).The main aspects of work could be followed as:1. The mobile streaming media theory was studied and analyzed in detail as well as quality control in QoS, focusing on causes of streaming media transmission error and the main method for error control.2. The database server hardware and software and the overall structure had been designed based on Davinci platform. And then the principle of embedded server SQLite was introduced as well as transplantation under embedded Linux environment, so as to realizing the design and construction for streaming media embedded database server on mobile platform.3. Aiming at the deficiencies of traditional error control mechanism such as transmission delay, an improved ARQ error control algorithm was advanced based on buffer timing retransmission. By setting a timer in sending end and over time retransmission function in sending buffer, the algorithm played the contents of previous package in receiving end, which reduced the transmission delay and packet loss rate effectively in order to provide better control effect.4. Simulation was done on QoS improved algorithm and the wired&wireless hybrid network model had also been established based on NS2 platform. Assistance for mobile streaming media QoS optimization had been given by proposing improved algorithm via simulation result.
